Club Manager required (Part Time)
Part time position for an average of 20 hours per week flexible summer / winter hours to fulfil club needs.

MANAGER – RYDE GOLF CLUB
JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB PURPOSE
To promote and maintain the good reputation of Ryde Golf Club (RGC)
To undertake and successfully complete all aspects of the Job Description
To participate in an annual performance management review working towards agreed targets
To maintain harmonious relationships with all staff members, visitors and guests.
To ensure that all other employees or contractors of RGC perform their duties in accordance with their contracts and to be aware of their strengths, weaknesses and issues
To oversee all aspects of RGC activities and report to the Directors/Committee/Captain on any matters which need attention or action.
To support and enhance the authority of the Head Green Keeper and Bar Staff whilst keeping an overview of their areas of responsibility
To act as administration support to the Directors and committees.
To assist the Chairman, Directors and members of the Golf Committee in carrying out their functions.
To help with the promotion of RGC to potential members, visitors and the community
To work with relevant Directors in supporting/be responsible for HR, Bar and Catering, Health and Safety, Business and marketing and IT
To be polite, welcoming and co-operative in order to serve the Directors Staff and members at all times.
Line manage all staff for day to day business.
GENERAL
With the Directors be responsible for the implementation of policies, procedures and strategies,
With the Directors be responsible for the management and administration of the Club,
Arrange purchasing, maintenance of the facilities of the Club and income generation
Implement the decisions of the Directors
Manage operational requirements
Be a key holder
Liaise with Captains and committee
Undertake statutory regulation checks at intervals as specified by the relevant legislation.
After approval from the Chairman/Directors attend local or national meetings necessary for, and relevant to, the role of Manager RGC
Liaise with the Directors, committees, Captains and ground staff regarding the activities of the Club
Be responsible for notice boards the website, BRS and other IT applications used by the Golf club and with the Directors, any complaints
Arrange bookings, with a welcome talk if necessary
Welcome visitors, ensuring that all their needs are met.
Cater for the needs of visitors including notifying rules, local rules and equipment available.
Arrange publications and journals for the clubhouse
Promote the Club including local media with reports, results etc.
Check the property monthly and report any needs
Allocate and manage all bar staff informing them of any operational changes.
Ensure current Health and Safety legislation is complied with and all safety devices and kits are well stocked and up to date.
Other duties deemed necessary by the Directors.
ADMINISTRATION
Act as agent for RGC for quotes, purchases and contracts
Maintain members’ records ensuring compliance with GDPR
With Captains and relevant parties arrange the annual diary
Work in collaboration with the Finance Manager
GOLF
Liaise with green keepers, captains and competition secretary regarding the opening and closure of the course
Work with the competition secretaries and golf committees to ensure that all golf activities are undertaken and completed as successfully as possible.
Liaise with Green Keepers and Course Director regarding the maintenance and condition of the course
HOUSE
Oversee the maintenance of the buildings
Ensure that the Clubhouse and buildings are secure
Arrange small repairs and report costly maintenance needs to the Directors
Keep the outside daily notice board up to date
Cover the bar and provide refreshments on a discretionary and limited basis.
MARKETING
Work with relevant Directors and staff to maintain and increase the membership of the Club
Generate ideas for marketing and use of the website to promote RGC
Establish and maintain good relationships with local bodies, businesses and interested parties.
