Originally founded in 1895 at land near Westridge Farm, Ryde Golf Golf Club moved to its current site in Binstead in 1923. The lay out has been changed over the years, with extra land being obtained, and it provides a challenging parkland course where accuracy is vital. Although it is a 9 hole course, there is an alternate green for the 16th hole, and the back nine has four other holes where the tee position alters. It is renowned as being one of the toughest courses on the island, and the first tee can provide a few nerves, especially in windy conditions.

The Club itself is well known for being very sociable, with social events and golf on offer for everyone. Visitors and new members are always very welcome. The Club has reciprocal arrangements and well-established links with many other courses locally and on the mainland.

Our membership and financial position are both on the way up, and in recent years there have been substantial improvements to our greens and bunkers. There is further work planned for the tees, as well as a renovation of the practice nets. Off the course, we are upgrading our clubhouse and changing rooms. This is a good time to be associated with Ryde Golf Club and we look forward to welcoming you as a visitor or member.
